Aimé Leon Dore

Created as a spec ad, this piece serves as a tribute to Aimé Leon Dore. Using original content, archival images and footage captured by Harrison Boyce, I reimagined the brand’s universe through a different perspective, a layered collage of memory, culture, and reinvention.

The narration, written by Gabi Hanson and voiced by her 93-year-old grandmother, brings an old-world cadence that quietly threads through the piece. Her voice becomes the project's unexpected anchor, bringing both the profound weight of lived memory and the richness of intergenerational collaboration.

Original 3D sequences crafted in Houdini and rendered with Redshift, blending seamlessly with the sourced visuals.

AI tools added depth, frame extensions, and motion interpolation to bring stills to life.

Hand-drawn textures and a CMK print-scan workflow introduced analog imperfections and tactile weight.

The sound design, threaded with nods to New York and Wu-Tang, grounds the piece in cultural rhythm.

The project was edited and finished in After Effects.

This film is not an official commission, it’s a passion project, crafted with intent, to honor a brand that has shaped the visual and emotional language of a generation.
